Keys to Successful Flea Control
using Frontline
-
If you see fleas on your pet, you may have fleas in your
home
-
To successfully control fleas in your home, all dogs and
cats must be treated with their own dose of Frontline Plus. This will kill
existing fleas and break the cycle of flea reproduction. It can take up to
three months to bring a home flea infestation under control. For best
results, apply monthly throughout the year.
-
Treated pets can still pick up fleas. As long as you
continue using Frontline Plus, any new fleas will be killed before they
can reproduce.
-
If you walk your pet outside, it may pick up fleas in
areas where untreated animals (neighbor's pets, rodents, raccoons) have
access. That's why it's so important to consistently apply it monthly.
-
If your pet has access to areas under your house,
remember that untreated animals such as raccoons and opossums may have
spent time there, leaving flea eggs behind. Continued use of Frontline
Plus helps protect your pet no matter where your pet roams.
-
Because Frontline is waterproof, you can bathe your pet,
walk your pet in the rain, and allow a refreshing dip in the pool or pond.
Remember, your pet needs to be dry at the time Frontline is applied and
remain dry for 24 hours after application.
